Samsung Scanning

Before you scan, you may be required to provide login information.

Press the black space provided on the touch screen, enter the number 1111, and press “OK.” On the next screen, it will display print information. To continue, press the “Close” button at the bottom right-hand corner of the dialogue box.

To scan to an Email…

Select the “scan” option on the touchpad.

To send it to your email, you may either

  1. Press the “To” button on the screen, and enter your email address, or

2.  Press the “Global’ button on the far right of the screen to search for a WJC email address to send it to.

From here, press “Search”.

On the keypad that pops up, you will want to be fairly specific in your search term, as only the first 25 matches will appear on the list. In most cases the first three or four letters of the last name will be sufficient.

From the list, select the address you wish to send the image to, press the “To” button on the left side of the menu, and then press “OK.” You may select as many addresses on this screen as you need, as long as you make sure to hit “Apply” between each selection.

You may name the file by selecting the “File name” space, and typing what you would like to name your scanned file.

Place the item to be scanned in the scanning tray or on the glass, press the green ‘Start” button to the right of the screen, and your scan will be sent.

To scan to USB Flash Drive-

Insert your flash drive into the USB port as shown. Under the home tab, press “USB.”

On the next screen, select the folder you would like to save your file to. Press “Scan to USB”, and then press “File Name” to rename the file.

If you do not rename it, it will just save the image as “Untitled.”

Place the item you would like to scan on the glass or in the tray, hit the green “Start” button to the right of the screen, and you’re all set!

BEFORE REMOVING FLASH DRIVE

Press the “Back” button on the screen so that you go back to the “Home” menu.

On this menu, press the green “USB” button on the bottom right corner of the screen.

In the dialog box, select “Safely Remove Device.”

You may now remove your flash drive from the system.
